Performers Video Showcase
Terms and Conditions
  1. There are no refunds for any reason.
  2. We make every effort to be sure that the information is correctly taken for your application and placed on your directory listing.  We make no written, implied, or verbal warrantees guarantying the accuracy for the listing or advertisements.
  3. We will provide at least one opportunity to review all your information (for all applications that meet our deadline) to be sure it is correct.   We will make any mistakes to your information but will not redo your text or significantly change any of the pricing you submit to us.  It is ultimately the presenter’s responsibility to check their information prior to publication.
  4. You must showcase a demonstration of exactly what you are offering the libraries for your program.  For example, if you showcase with 3 people then all 3 must be part of all shows you do for the libraries.
  5. Your presentation must reflect quality children's and family entertainment and content.
  6. Time slots at the showcase are offered as follows:
    1. New Artists who sign up for all but basic package participation.
    2. All artists who sign up for all but the basic package who did not showcase and participated in the previous ILS or COLA directory.
    3. All Diamond Package purchasers.
    4. And performers who help to diversify the showcase for the attendees.
  7. If you are not at your assigned staging area 15 minutes before your showcase demonstration you will forfeit your time slot.
  8. We do not offer any presenter a full-time slot to fill an empty time slot on the day of the showcase.
  9. We will try, time permitting, to get 3 minute slots for non-showcasing artists at the end of the showcase.  For this opportunity, you can sign up on the day of the showcase at the Presenters Registration table and presentations are on a first come first serve basis.
  10. We make every effort to ensure that the showcase and expo runs smoothly, efficiently, and the sound system is working to support your presentation and your video that can be used online.
  11. We make no written, implied, or verbal warrantees guarantying that the sound system or your tracks will be effective or usable on the video.
  12. We make every effort to be sure that we video tape all presentations.
  13. We make no written, implied, or verbal warrantees guarantying that the video will be sable for the online showcase.
  14. Table Space (1/2 of a 6 x 2-foot table) is provided at each expo, with the purchase of a Silver or higher package, on a first come, first serve basis.  Platinum and Diamond package purchasers are guaranteed a table space.  Additional table space may be purchased.
  15. Volunteers are always welcome.  Contact us to let us know you are available.
  16. Failure to abide by our showcase rules (be sure you have read these with the general information) can lead to your not being included in future events.  These include:
    1. Handing out literature anywhere but at your table space.
    2. Not respecting the other presenters both in the Expo and during a showcase demonstration.
    3. Disruption of the event or the volunteers, sound, or videotaping.
  17. Failure to live up to what you present at the library showcases and what you offer in the directory, can lead to your not being included in future events.
  18. Failure to show up or to be late to your library shows can lead to your not being included in future events.
  19. Breaking professional and moral codes can lead to your not being included in the directory or events.
  20. We will be providing a review process for librarians.  If an artist receives a negative review, it must be seen as an opportunity to improve a presentation and artists are not to contact librarians about this type of review.  If a librarian is contacted as a result of a negative review it can lead to your not being included in future events.
  21. If an artist receives 3 or more negative reviews it can lead to your not being included in future events and your information pulled down from www.performersvideoshowcase.com
  22. You will accept all library payment methods.  These include day of payments as well as up to 8 weeks to receive payments for your program.
  23. If you book summer reading library shows and later cancel them for a fair or festival or other "better income" show, you may not be able to showcase or participate again in the future.
  24. All artists are subject to acceptance by Dream Shapers, County of Los Angeles Libraries, and the Inland Library System who make all final decisions with regards to the participants.  Decisions are based on quality of programs, letters of reference, professionalism based on website and social media, and appropriateness for Children’s and Family audiences.
